A bad bathroom layout is one of those things you just learn to live with - until you don't have to anymore. That's exactly what these two homeowners decided. Instead of working around a space that never quite functioned the way they wanted, they chose to gut it and start fresh. That decision is what makes a remodel like this actually worth doing.

Here's what we were working with - two bathrooms that needed more than cosmetic updates. We're talking a full tear-down to the studs, a complete rethink of the layout, and new framing that sets everything up correctly from the ground level. This is the stage that doesn't get a lot of attention, but it's the most important one. Get the framing wrong and everything that comes after it suffers.

The framing stage is where a better layout goes from idea to reality. New walls, new door openings, updated rough-in work for plumbing and electrical - all of it gets locked in right here. What you end up with after drywall, tile, and fixtures goes in is only as good as what's been built behind the scenes.

We take this part seriously because cutting corners in the rough-in phase is how you get problems down the road - squeaky walls, moisture issues, fixtures that don't quite fit right. Doing it right the first time is always the better call. Both spaces are moving along well and the finished product is going to be a serious upgrade for these homeowners.
