Kitchen Remodel Mid-Progress: New Floors and Fresh Cabinets

Here's what we're working with right now - a kitchen remodel that's moving fast. The new hardwood-style flooring is already laid across a wide open floor plan, and you can immediately see how much lighter and cleaner the whole space feels.

The cabinets have been painted out in a crisp white finish. That detail alone makes a big difference. Paired with the warm, natural tone of the new flooring, the kitchen is starting to come together in a way that feels fresh without feeling cold.

Open concept layouts like this one are exactly where good material choices matter most. The flooring runs continuously from the main living area straight into the kitchen - no awkward transitions, no visual breaks. That kind of flow is something we plan for from the start, not something we figure out on the fly.

We're still mid-install here. Tools are out, trim work is ongoing, and the final finishes haven't all landed yet. But even at this stage, the direction is clear. This is a kitchen that's going to feel completely different from what it was.
