Most basements sit underused for years. A TV, maybe some storage, and that's about it. But with the right layout and the right team, that space can become one of the most functional areas in your home. That's exactly what we're working on here - a full basement kitchenette build, currently mid-demo and moving in the right direction.

The before speaks for itself. Bare walls, exposed conduit, plumbing rough-ins mapped out across the floor - everything stripped back so we're working with a clean slate. This is the phase most homeowners never see, but it's where the whole project either gets set up for success or not. We don't skip steps here.

With the demo and rough-in work done, the cabinet layout comes next. That's where the space really starts to take shape. Upper cabinets, lower cabinets, countertops laid out in an L-configuration - everything positioned to make the most of the square footage without the space feeling cramped. A well-planned kitchenette doesn't need to be huge. It just needs to be thoughtful.

A basement kitchenette adds real, everyday function - whether you're finishing a lower level for guests, setting up a space for aging family members, or just want a spot to grab a drink without heading upstairs. It's a practical upgrade that pays off in how you actually use your home. Our kitchen remodeling work covers exactly this kind of project, from the first demo swing to the final trim piece.

We're in the thick of it on this one, and it's shaping up well. The planning was solid going in, and the execution is following through. That's how good remodeling work goes.
